Nella Felina Basco is a highly proficient higher education professional with more than 24 years of professional experience spanning media, customer service, human resources, student recruitment and admission operations
Nella began her career in journalism in the Philippines before transitioning into customer experience and human resources with global outsourcing firm ClientLogic. After relocating to the United Arab Emirates, she worked with Global Tech FZ LLC and later with Al Nisr Publishing, the publisher of Gulf News, where she spent nearly a decade in media sales, business development and client management.
Nella joined Transnational Academic Group in 2014 and has actively contributed to the growth of its campuses in Dubai. She has held progressively senior leadership roles in student recruitment and admissions at both Murdoch University Dubai and Curtin University Dubai. In her current role, she leads the University’s recruitment strategy and admissions operations, overseeing initiatives that enhance student acquisition, optimize the admissions journey, and strengthen engagement with prospective students and key stakeholders.
With extensive experience in student engagement, international recruitment, and higher education partnerships, she brings valuable insights into the evolving landscape of global education and student mobility.
