LUG Business Club collaborates with Barclays Bank Ghana for career training

The CIB Markets & Treasury Departments of Barclays Bank Ghana have marked their annual campaign dubbed “Make a Difference Day” in conjunction with Lancaster University Ghana Business Society.

A team of about 20 staff from Barclays Bank Ghana (CIB Markets & Treasury Departments) were present at this programme to share some real life experiences in an interactive discourse with LUG students and faculty. The event brought together seasoned bankers and financial markets professionals, including the Barclays Director of CIB Markets, to interact with students on key skills needed for a successful career life. Real scenarios were illustrated via presentations, interactions with a key focus on Work and Money Skills.

LUG graduates need skills that will help them transition from the university into the corporate world and this event came in handy to serve as a good introduction into the world of financial services. It also equipped students with learning materials that will help them develop work skills, people skills, money skills and entrepreneurial skills.

This event was organised in furtherance of the Business Club’s aim of assisting the University produce well-grounded business graduates with a sound awareness of; and ability to spot opportunities and equipping them adequately to take advantage of same.
